KOMODO FLORES ISLAND EXPLORE

Bena Traditional Villages 

Day 01 : JAKARTA - DENPASAR - LABUAN BAJO
Flight to Denpasar and transfer by flight to Labuan Bajo, overnight in hotel.

ImageDay 02 : LABUAN BAJO - RINCA - KOMODO
Meet and greet with our representative and directly transfer to the pier where your boat for boating to Rinca island. Explore the giant monitor Lizard “VARANUS KOMODOENSIS“ in their pure environment. Afterward we board again to Kalong island to see flying foxes set out from mangrove trees about 06 up 06.30 pm. Lunch, dinner and accommodation on the boat. (B,L,D) 

Day 03 : KOMODO – PINK BEACH / Pantai Merah  – LABUAN BAJO
Early breakfast on the boat. Today searching for the komodo dragon. In the morning we’ll walk to the old feeding place. Led by local ranger komodo dragons are often spotted on the way. There is no more feeding Komodo’s as they need to survive on their own. During your visit you could see wild buffalo, tomor deer, wild chicken, megapod, also thousands of macaca fascicularis, and various species of tropical birds. After visiting komodo island we board again, this time for Pink beach. Here lunch and time to discover the splendid under water world of these rich waters. After snorkeling we board again to Labuhan Bajo for dinner and overnight at New Bajo Beach hotel or similar. (B,L,D)

Bena childsDay 04 : LABUAN BAJO – RUTENG
After breakfast driving overland to Ruteng – a cool and small town as the capital city of Manggarai regency where major Manggarainese tribe dwelt. En route to Ruteng stop at Cara village in Cancar area to see the unexposed world wonder “Lingko” – the spider web shape ricefields. It’s probably the only such a rice field ever exist on earth. Lunch will be served in Ruteng. In the afternoon will visit catholik huge Cathedral and Ruteng Pu’u - Compang village to see the traditional houses of Manggarai ethnic. Dinner and accommodation in Dahlia hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 05: RUTENG - BAJAWA
After breakfast continue driving to Bajawa – another cool and small town as capital city of Ngada regency. Bajawa is located in the heart of Ngada ethnic civilization which is known for the megalithic cultures. There are traditional villages furnished with stone monuments, ancestor worship shrines and "adat" houses. The hamlets are beautifully settled in the volcanic mountainous area. The most beautiful ones are Bena and Wogo. Stop will be made in Ranamese crater lake and drive to Aimere village with it’s home industry of Arak – local alcohol. Lunch will be served en route. In the afternoon visiting Bena or Wogo village which can be seen in their Ngadu and Bhaga. Ngadu and Bhaga are conical thatched roof huts symbolized their male and female ancestral sprits. Dinner and accommodation in Bintang Wisata hotel. (B,L,D)

traditional homeDay 06 : BAJAWA – RIUNG
After breakfast continue to north coast for 2½ hours to Riung with stop in Natural hot spring at Soa – Mangeruda for taking bathing. Lunch can be served in Riung. There is nature conservation park in Riung mainly to protect the under water ecosystem. Take your chance to explore the small isles off shore – known for the beautiful coral gardens with white sand beach. There is an island with unspoiled mangrove forests inhabited by thousands of huge fruit eating bats (flying foxes). There is some boat trip in Riung to take you over the islands. Snorkeling, sunbathing also relaxing could be done. After visiting the islands you could check in at Pondok SVD or similar to overnight and dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 07 : RIUNG - MONI
After breakfast driving to Moni. We will stop in Penggajawa to see the ”blue stone beach”. Drive towards Nuabosi until reach the vantage point for the wide angle view over the town of Ende which is beautifully located on the coastal area fortified by volcano. Taking a chance to see the traditional tiny fruits and vegetable market in Nduaria. Photo stops will be served automatically. Lunch could be served en route. Proceed to Moni for overnight and dinner at Flores Sare hotel. (B,L,D)

mount kelimutuDay 08 : MONI – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE
It’s worth to experience the sunrise at Kelimutu three colored crater lakes. You will begin your day early in the morning (start abt 0.4.00 o’clock). Once you arrive in Kelimutu volcano you will find yourself something like no where – incomparable with known told stories – photoes or even moving pictures you have seen before. After admiring the nature wonder drive to Maumere. On the way you will experience the dramatic change in both nature pattern and ethnicity. You could be found yourself in the Lio ethnic’s environment – pay at call to their villages Jopu – Ranggase and try to comprehend the locals daily life or just having closer look into their work of architectures. Lunch en route. Dinner and accommodation in Flores Sao resort. (B,L,D)

Day 09 : MAUMERE – DENPASAR
After breakfast, we leave your morning at your leisure until the transfer to the airport to catch flight to Bali. (B)
