SUMATRA  DISCOVERY

DAY 01 : MEDAN – BAHOROK
Upon your arrival at Medan airport, meeting service, having lunch then drive to Bukit Lawang at Bahorok. Overnight stay in Pan Eco in the jungle on the banks of the beautiful Bohorok river. (L,D)
 
DAY 02 : BAHOROK – TANGKAHAN
After breakfast we’ll take about 3 hours driving  off road by jeep to Tangkahan. Arrive at Tangkahan Lodge by crossing the river with a canoe. Overnight stay at a simple jungle lodge of Tangkahan. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 03 : LEUSER NATIONAL PARK
You will trek into the Leuser National Park covers an area 9000 square kilometers heart of the Sumatran rainforests. It’s one of the most endangered ecosystem in the world.  After lunch back to Bahorok. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 04 : ORANGUTAN EXPLORING
Visit & explore Orang Utans sanctuary at Bukit Lawang. walk along the riverbank. You will trek into the heart of the Sumatran rainforests. Afternoon back to Pan Eco Lodge. (B,L,D)

DAY 05 : WHITE WATER RAFTING
After breakfast we transfer you by car to Mariki, the starting point of your Wampu river rafting experience. Will raft with local guides. The trip takes about 4 hours down the Wampu river. After lunch you will continue the rafting for about 2 hours until you reach the bridge of the Bohorok river. And then process drive to Brastagi. Overnight at hotel. (B,L,D)

DAY 06: BRASTAGI – PARAPAT – LAKE TOBA
Drive to lake Toba and on boat to Samosir island. Stop en route at Sipiso-piso waterfall and long house of Batak Simalunggun kings. Accommodation at cottage in Samosir island. (B,L,D)  

DAY 07: SAMOSIR ISLAND
Full day Samosir island to visit ancient graveyards, tomb of king, traditional houses of Batak Toba, stone furniture, museum of Batak Toba  and enjoy Tor-tor traditional dance performance. (B,L,D)

DAY 08: SAMOSIR ISLAND – PARAPAT – MEDAN
Back to Medan via Parapat. City tour in Medan visiting Great Mosque, the Sultan's palace, Chinese temple and China town. Overnight at a hotel. (B,L,D)

DAY 09 : MEDAN – PADANG - BUKITTINGGI
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your next destination Minangkabau land. You will take 50 minutes flight to Minangkabau international airport. You will have a seafood lunch before transfer to Bukittinggi where you will stay at four star hotel Pusako. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 10 : BUKIT TINGGI – SIANOK CANYON – MANINJAU LAKE
Explore the area by visiting Sianok canyon, Japanese tunnel, Harau cliff, Koto Gadang village. In the afternoon transfer to Nuansa Maninjau Resort where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of lake Maninjau. Dinner will be provided in the resort. (B,L,D)
 
Day 11 : MANINJAU LAKE - PADANG – MUARA SIBERUT
Transfer to Padang. Upon arrival direct transfer to the sea port for sailing to Siberut, the largest island in the Mentawai islands. Overnight stay at local simple guest house in Muara Siberut. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 12 – 15 : SIBERUT TREKKING
Upon arrival in the morning at the port of Siberut island, direct trekking into the island's interior to explore the tropical rain forest of Siberut island for 5 days; stunning views and beautiful jungles abounding with unique plant and wildlife and the chance to meet the people of Siberut. Overnights in the traditional family house of a local Kerei (medicine-man) and meals prepared by our own cook. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 16 : SIBERUT / MASILOK BEACH 
Continue trekking to the south of the island to discover idyllic unspoiled white sandy beaches for swimming, snorkeling and beach combing. Overnight at a local simple quest house at Masilok beach. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 17 : MUARA SIBERUT
After breakfast you will take a motorized canoe back to Muara Siberut. Overnight stay there. (B,L,D)

DAY 18 – 20 : MUARA SIBERUT – PADANG – SIKUAI ISLAND
Leaving the island by  boat trip back to Padang. Upon arrival in the morning, transfer to island resorts of your choice (Cubadak Paradiso Village or Sikuai Island Resort) where you can enjoy snorkelling, swimming or just lying down on the white sandy beach. Or you can take an optional diving trip. (B,L,D)
 
DAY 21 : SIKUAI ISLAND – PADANG
Transfer to Padang and overnight stay at hotel. (B)
 
Day 22 : DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for flight to next destination or extend with other trips. (B)
