SUMATRA ADVENTURE TRIP Print E-mail

SUMATRA ADVENTURE TRIP

Duration: 23 DAYS / 22 NIGHTS
START/FINISH: MEDAN/PADANG
Duration: MODERATE - CHALLENGING

Day 01 : MEDAN – BUKIT LAWANG 
Arrival at Polonia airport Medan then drive to Bukit Lawang with stop at crocodile farm, and several plantation for rubber and palm oil. Arrival at Bukit Lawang, check in to hotel.

Day 02 : LEUSER NATIONAL PARK TREKKING
After breakfast at hotel then walking trough the bank of the river and crossing the river by  traditional canoe and walking up the jungle to see the Orang  Utan on the their feeding time. After feeding the Orang Utan trekking through the Leuser National Park, walking around Leuser National Park is the time to experience many kind of flora and fauna as well enjoy the song of birds and siamang “The Black Gibbon” and overnight in tent or shelter. Day 03 : LEUSER NATIONAL PARK TREKKING
Second day trekking in the jungle will take for 6 to 7 hours and will explore the park and walking down to the bank of the river where we can take a swim on the river, during the trekking the wild life in the jungle will be a fantastic experience. (B,L,D)

Day 04 : CONTINUE TRACKING – RETURN TO HOTEL
After breakfast prepared by tour guide continue trekking, today is full day walking and explore the rain tropical forest with their wild life living in their natural habitat. Afternoon return  to hotel. (B,L)

Day 05 : FULLDAY WHITE WATER RAFTING
After breakfast drive by mini bus to Wampu river and arrival at starting point, starting your white water rafting adventure. During the rafting, the excellent opportunity to see the bird and wild life as white enjoying the two mild rapids. Arrival at waterfall at the bank of the river enjoying your shower and lunch will be provided afternoon arrival at the point stop enjoying coffee break before driving back to hotel. (B,L)

Day 06 : BUKIT LAWANG - BRASTAGI
After breakfast drive to Brastagi with stop at Sembahe river and Sikulikap waterfall and visit Batak Karo traditional village at Peceren, and fruit market, afternoon check in to hotel. (B)

Day 07 : CLIMBING UP SIBAYAK volcano
After early breakfast in the morning climbing up to Sibayak volcano, the trekking will take about 4 to 5 hours to the top of Sibayak, return back to Brastagi via Sidebuk – debuk hotsprings, enjoying the swimming on sulfur swimming pool, afternoon return back to hotels. (B,L)

Day 08 : BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR
After breakfast drive to Parapat on the way visit Sipiso-piso waterfall, Rumah Bolon (Long house ) the old palace of Batak Simalungun kings and Simarjarunjung to see the view of lake Toba, upon arrival at Parapat crossing to Samosir island by ferry boat arrival at Samosir check in to hotel. (B,L)

Day 09 : SAMOSIR -TREKKING
After breakfast driving motor bike to Tomok village and from Tomok villages start trekking to the jungle up to the top of the hill on Samosir island with interesting view of lake Toba and real traditional house of Batak people and explore the small lake on the top of Samosir island called Sidahoni, afternoon return back to hotels. (B,L)

Day 10 : FREE AT OWN LEISURE
Today is a free time for swimming, relaxing, cycling or just walking around the villge. (B)

Day 11 : SAMOSIR – SIPIROK
After breakfast crossing back to Parapat and arrival at Parapat drive to Sipirok, on the way stop at pineapple, clove, and coffee plantation and visiting traditional market at Balige Sigur-gur and Sipoholon hot springs. Before arrival at Sipirok the day enjoy the nature by walking at the bank of Sarulla river, the rice terrace and arrival at Sipirok check in to hotel. (B)

Day 12 : SIPIROK – BUKITTINGGI
Leave Sipirok for Bukittinggi by passing rain tropical forest of Rimba Panti and stop will be made to see the attraction of monkey picking up the coconut. Visit pepper, vanilla, cardamon and cinnamon garden, and crossing the equator line at Bonjol, afternoon arrival at Bukittinggi the charming towns of Minangkabau directly check in to hotel. (B)

Day 13 : BUKITTINGGI – TREKKING PUNCAK LAWANG TO MANINJAU
After breakfast drive to Puncak Lawang, on the way stop to see traditional sugar cane miling and then enjoying the view of lake Maninjau from the top of Lawang, then walking down trough the jungle, enjoying the wild animal with flora and fauna of tropical forest, in the middle of the jungle stop to see waterfall and rest, then continue trekking to Bayur village, arrival at Bayur village by car drive to hotel. (B)

Day 14 : MANINJAU – FREE
Today is a free time to enjoy swimming, sun bathing, cycling or just walking to the villages around the hotel.

Day 15 : MANINJAU – KERSIK TUO
After breakfast drive to Solok passing lake Singkarak, lake Diatas and lake di Bawah, enjoying the nice view of real tropical forest a long the way with a fantastic view of tea plantation at Kayu Aro, arrival at Kersik Tuo overnight at simple Losmen.

Day 16 : CLIMBING UP MOUNT KERINCI.
After breakfast, walk about 3 hours to Kerinci Seblat enter gate and then hiking to mount Kerinci, arriving at the afternoon camp out at shelter 3. (About 3.200 M above sea level), dinner will be prepared by our tour guide. (B,L,D)

Day 17 : TOP OF MOUNT KERINCI – KERSIK TUO
Morning after Breakfast, continue climbing to the summit of mount Kerinci, after taking picture and taking a rest, walking down mount Kerinci to Kersik Tuo and afternoon arrival at Kersik Tuo check in to guest house. (B)

Day 18 : LAKE GUNUNG TUJUH TREKKING
After breakfast, transfer by bus to lake Mount Seven National Park for about 1 hour. Lake Danau Tujuh is a huge-mysterious lake on 1.995 m above sea level and surrounded by primary rainforest and 7 hills. Lunch will be served on the side of the lake. The pristine area around the lake is known as the habitat of Sumatran tigers, Sumatran elephants, primates, endemic birds of Sumatra as well as research area for the “small man” who live in the jungle around the lake. Most of the day is spent by trekking and explore the surrounding in search for animals, birds and exotic plants. (B)

Day 19 : SANGIR RIVER EXPLORATION WITH TRADISIONAL CANOE
After breakfast drive to Sangir river and then starting by traditional canoe explore the river where enjoying the nature with its flora and fauna and then return back to starting point trekking trough the jungle, small village and rice field, afternoon return back to guest house. (B)

Day 20 : KERSIK TUO – BANGKO
After breakfast visiting Semurup hot spring, old historical mosque with its giant drum and lake Kerinci, then drive to Bangko on the way passing rain tropical forest with its flora and fauna. Stop will be made at several interesting places and arrival at Bangko check in to hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 21 : EXPLORE KUBU PRIMITIVE TRIBE
After breakfast drive around 2 hours to the village near the jungle then walking to the jungle to explore where the nomadic Kubu people live and witness their daily activity and its traditional and culture, picnic lunch box provide and afternoon return back to hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 22 : BANGKO – BUKITTINGGI 
After breakfast drive to Bukittinggi via Trans Sumatra highway and with stop at Muara Bungo, lake Singkarak and passing several interesting places, arrival at Bukittinggi the charming town of Minangkabau directly check in to hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 23 : BUKITTINGGI – PADANG / AIRPORT
After breakfast drive to Padang via Anay valley with stop at Anay waterfall and arrival at Padang transfer to airport for your next destination. (B)
