TANGKOKO, DUMOGA BONE AND BUNAKEN

Day 01: JAKARTA – MANADO
Arrive in Jakarta, the guide will pick you up and bring you to the hotel. Tomorrow morning we take a flight to Manado and stay at Ritzy hotel.   

Day 02: MANADO – BUNAKEN
Transfer to harbour to sail to Bunaken island. Full day snorkeling at Bunaken island, a marvelous sea. Overnight in seabreeze bungalows. (B,L,D)

Day 03: BUNAKEN – TANGKOKO NATURE RESERVE
In the morning after breakfast sail back to Manado and immediately depart for Tangkoko Nature Reserve by car. Overnight in Mama Roos homestay. (B,L,D)

Day 05 : TANGKOKO EXPLORE
Today we’ll explore Tangkoko, it is one of the most impressive and accessible nature reserves in Indonesia, and includes some coastline and coral gardens off-shore. This is home to black macaques, cuscus and tarsier, maleo birds and endemic red knobbed hornbills, among other fauna, and rare types of rainforest flora. Overnight in Mama Roos homestay. (B,L,D)

Day 06 : TANGKOKO – DUMOGA BONE
Early morning birding in the park, then the journey will continue by minibus to Doloduo village. Here, we can see maleo, an endemic sulawesi bird, whose eggs are five times bigger than eggs of most birds. Stay overnight at homestay Doloduo, Dumoga Bone. (B,L,D)

Day 07 – 08 : DUMOGA BONE NATIONAL PARK
Drive to Dumoga Bone National Park located on the border between two districts, this park covers Dumoga in Bolaang Mongondow and Bone in Gorontalo. Its mountains and hills covered by dense forests and vegetation make it an ideal reserve of rare and specific animal species like maleo birds, anoas, hornbills, wild pigs tarsius spectrums and fruit bats. The rainfall favours a very rich flora. This national park has several cottages and small restaurants nearby. (B,L,D).

Day 09 : DUMOGA BONE – MANADO
We will do some birding around the islands before lunch. After lunch we will return to Manado. At the hotel here, we will have a chance to check and send email, make phone calls home, or do a little shopping. Overnight in Ritzy hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 10 : MANADO – JAKARTA
After breakfast we take a flight to Jakarta, and before we leave  say your goodbyes and good riddance. Stay at a hotel of your choice in Jakarta. (B)
