DIVE AND SAILING IN SELAYAR ISLAND

DAY 01: MAKASSAR – BIRA
Departure from Makassar, at 11am we proceed to Bira and with a total driving time of four hours, we should be at the harbor of Bira by 3 pm. Allowing 3 to 4 hours to board and to get settled, the vessels will depart around 6 pm for the eastern or west coast of Selayar. (L,D)

DAY 02–03: SELAYAR
Dive sites are all in the southern most part of Pulau Selayar. We should arrive in the very early morning, allowing our first dive to be taken before breakfast. We have selected a series of dive sites around this area which are very close to each other, thereby keeping cruising time between sites to no more than one hour. (B,L,D)

DAY 04: SELAYAR
Today will be allocated to a full day of diving, with an option to trek into the coastal jungle for a one or two hour waterfall visit. From our small village base, we will trek for approximately 30 minutes to the base of a 7 tiered waterfall of cool, crystal-clear spring water. This provides a shower experience and is well worth filming. For those divers who don’t care for water, unless they can descend into it, please don’t worry. You will not be disappointed in this stop, as there is a fantastic dive, no less than 10 minutes away by our speed boat. At sunset, the vessels will set sail for our overnight cruise back to Bira, with a special final cruise dinner being served as the sun sets on a great dive experience. (B,L,D)

DAY 05: BIRA – MAKASSAR DEPARTURE
Our arrival is scheduled for 6am, in the harbor of Bira. Cars will be standing by to return passengers to Makassar. For those interested, extensions can be made with any of the Bira bungalow resorts, and return to Makassar can be arranged at any time. (B,L)
