Baduy Tribe live in the Arrive area about 5.101 ha, in Kanekes village. Leuwidamar Sub district, Lebak Regency, about 38 km from Rangkasbitung the city of Lebak regency. The Baduy consists of two part : Baduy Dalam (Inner Baduy) and Baduy Luar (Outer Baduy). The Baduy Dalam live in three Kampung’s : Cikeusik, Cikertawarna and Cibeo. They have their own government, the tradition government. There are three heads of ethnic group as the head of government and they are called Puun.

Baduy Luar (Outer Baduy) live in the outside of the three Kampung’s. There are 53 Kampung in the Baduy. There is a tradition in their community, they have the firm tradition law Cikertawarna and Cibeo Puun’s. They have eight assistants which have the same function and duties, called Jaro. The most of the Baduys are farmers. They plant huma rice (padi huma/padi ladang) and other plantation. Beside farmers they make handicrafts like Koja’s bag, palm sugar, woven products and less of them are merchants. Their religion is “Sunda Wiwitan”, they believe only one God, Sang Hyang Tunggal as their Rhe creature, arrange and decider in the live.

BADUY TRIBE EXPLORE I
Duration: 02 DAYS / 01 NIGHT
START/FINISH: JAKARTA
GRADE: EASY - MODERATE

Day 01 : JAKARTA - RANGKASBITUNG - CIBOLEGER - GAJEBOH
Depart in early morning take by car from Jakarta to Ciboleger takes about 4 hours through country side. Arrive at Ciboleger (the gate of Baduy tribe) about 12.00am, directly trek to Kadu Ketug, Balimbing and Marengo trek to Gajeboh (Outer Baduy or Black Baduy). While you will  see and enjoy the simple life of Baduy community and feel how rich culture and nature of Baduy tribe. Take rest for a few minutes in Gajeboh and having lunch here (lunch box), we will stay over night at the leaders house. In the afternoon we will trek up to the hill of Gajeboh crossing the famous bamboo bridge to see the activities of Baduy community (rice field, how they make brown sugar/palm sugar, etc). We will also take shower/swimming at the Baduy river.  Free time. (L,D)

Day 02 : GAJEBOH - CIBOLEGER - RANGKASBITUNG - JAKARTA
Early in the morning trek up to the hill to see sunrise. After breakfast trek up to Cicakal stop over here to see view around the village (to see hand woven making process, wooden bag from skin of wood, bracelets etc). Then continue to Cipaler crossing other bamboo bridge to Cipaler, if possible we visit the Baduy lake and back to Ciboleger for lunch time. Then we continue drive from Ciboleger to Rangkasbitung and back to Jakarta. End of trip. (B,L)

BADUY TRIBE EXPLORE II
Duration: 03 DAYS / 02 NIGHTS
START/FINISH: JAKARTA

Day 02 : GAJEBOH - KADU KETER - CIGULA - GUNUNG KENCANA - KAROYA
Early in the morning trek up to the hill to see sunrise. After breakfast trek up to Kadu Keter then to Cicakal stop over here to see view around the village (to see hand woven making process, wooden bag from skin of wood, bracelets ect). Then continue to Cigula crossing other bamboo bridge, to Cicakal then to Cigula and back to Ciboleger for lunch time. From Ciboleger drive to Gunung Kencana. Arrive at Gunung Kencana then trek to the Jalupang village (the Border between Baduy and normal people). From Jalupang trek up to Karoya (2,5 hours) here we will crossing rice field and how nice the landscape of Baduy tribe. From Karoya trek to Pamoean (2,5 hours) then to Cibogo (the border between outer and inner Baduy) afterward we continue trek to Batu Belah, then trek back to Karoya. Stay over night here. (B,L,D)

Day 03 : KAROYA - GUNUNG KENCANA - RANGKASBITUNG - JAKARTA
After breakfast start trek from Karoya to Jalupang. We will take rest and lunch time at Jalupang (here we will see the traditional market among the Baduy people and normal people where they do the barter to buy something) usually at Sunday morning. From Jalupang back to Gunung Kencana and continue back to Jakarta. End of trip. (B,L)
