RAIN FOREST AND MAHAKAM RIVER HINTERLAND

Day 01 : BALIKPAPAN - SAMARINDA - MAHAKAM 
Upon arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and directly transfer by bus/minibus to Loa Janan, then boarding houseboat for exciting adventure on Mahakam river. On the way, you are going to see beautiful scenery on the left & right side Mahakam river. Meals provided and overnight on houseboat. (L,D)

Day 02 : MUARA MUNTAI - TANJUNG ISUY 
Morning arrival in Muara Muntai, sightseeing in villages where you will see and pass the hard wooden road. Then crossing the river to Jempang lake to reach Tanjung Isuy. A welcome ceremony and dance will be presented. Meals and overnight at long house. (B,L,D)

Day 03 : TANJUNG ISUY - MANCONG - MUARA MUNTAI - MAHAKAM RIVER
After breakfast in the morning by motor canoe cruise up Ohong creek visiting Dayak village Mancong to observe the amazing Grand long house and the Dayak people, on the way to Mancong you are going to see the wild life of animal like long nose monkeys, king fisher birds etc. In the afternoon return by canoe to Muara Muntai where our boat already waiting, the cruise up Mahakam river. Meals and overnight on boat. (B,L,D)

Day 04 : MAHAKAM RIVER - TERING - LONG IRAM
Full day cruise up Mahakam river, passing many villages while you could enjoying beautiful panoramas along the river. Meals and overnight are available on boat. (B,L,D)

Day 05 : LONG IRAM - DATAH BILANG - RUKUN DAMAI
In the morning, after simple breakfast make short sightseeing in the village continue the trip cruise up Mahakam river to Rukun Damai village. On the way stop at Datah Bilang village observe the way of life Dayak Kenyah tribes and exotic colorful long house. Meals and overnight on boat. (B,L,D)

Day 06 : RUKUN DAMAI - LONG BAGUN
If the water condition are unfavorable, the next trip will be taking by motor canoe. On you trip you are going tosee the beautiful scenarios and hard current rapids. Meals and overnight at local house. (B,L,D)

Day 07 : LONG BAGUN - RAIN FOREST - MAHAKAM RIVER
After breakfast in the morning going to trek in the jungle for 1-3 hours, then return to the house boat direct to downstreams Mahakam river for Tering. Meals and overnight on boat. (B,L,D)

Day 08 : TERING - LONGHOUSE - OMBAU ASA WATERFALL - MELAK - MAHAKAM
Arrival at Tering, bay car visiting Eheng village (old long house) and Ombau asa waterfall, where it is exciting place for swimming in that waterfall. Afterwards drive to proceed to Melak where the boat already waiting to downstream to Samarinda. (B,L,D)

Day 09 : TENGGARONG - SAMARINDA
Arrival at Tenggarong, visiting the former palace of Sultan Kutai Kertanegara to observe the Sultan's collection, royal cemetery, local markets etc. Return to the house boat and downstream Mahakam river proceed to Samarinda, check-in at Mesra International hotel for overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 10 : SAMARINDA - BALIKPAPAN
Breakfast, free at leisure, enjoy the hotel atmosphere, soaking up the pool until departure transfer to Balikpapan airport for your next destination. (B)
