MAHAKAM RIVER SAFARI

DAY 01 : BALIKPAPAN – LOA JANAN – MUARA MUNTAI
In the morning you will meet our guide and direct transfer to Loa Janan for 3 hours driving trough the hill road. Loa Janan arrival, by walking our next destination is the jetty to start the Mahakam River Safari using the boat house. In the boat we will have lunch and ready for hours river cruising to Muara Muntai in the next morning. Food and beverages, accomodation will provide at the boat. (L,D)

DAY 02 : MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG – PENYINGGAHAN - MELAK
Enjoying the morning activity at the floating kampong of Muara Muntai, here we can explore the people activity. By using the motorized canoe, we start the cruising trough the Mahakam River then to Jempang Lake until we entering the forest and enjoying the wild activity. Meals, beverages, accomodation are served in the boat. 4 hours cruising trough the river and the forest then we will arrive at Mancong Village, the place of Dayak Benuaq Tribe. We can see the Lamin (Dayak Long House), a home of many family head lives there. We can see the traditional handy craft. We are able to buy the souvenirs of Dayak Benuaq accessories. The traditional dance will be presented to us to be enjoyed.

When the time is come to us to get back to the boat house, we will continue the river cruising to Penyinggahan for about 2 hours for taking the boat house there. And another overnight river cruising to Melak. (B,L,D)

DAY 03 : MELAK - KERSIK LUWAY - JANTUR INAAR - TENGGARONG
Morning arrival at Melak, we have breakfast first at the boat. Just in time, we will continue the trip to Kersik Luway. Here you can find the Black Orchid, and other varieties inside the conservation park. Drive for about 30 minutes, we will arrive at jantur Inaar Water Fall. Trekking down the steep stairs then we will meet the water fall of 30 meters height. Drive back to Melak, then continue by boat house we are cruising back to Tenggarong.  (B,L,D)

DAY 04 : TENGGARONG - LOA JANAN - BALIKPAPAN
Morning arrival at Tenggarong, we continue our trip by visiting the Tenggarong Museum. Here we can observe the history of Kutai Kertanegara Sultanates history, The time has arrive to us to cruise down the Mahakam River to La Janan and transfer back to Balikpapan. We able to drives you home or to the airport. (B,L)
